Announcement for Issuing of Request for Information (RFI) for Armed Unmanned Aircraft System Project

Scope of RFI:
Undersecretariat for Defence Industries (SSM) is considering the procurement process of MALE or HALE category Armed Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) for the urgent requirement of Turkish Air Force.

In this regard, Request for Information (RFI) is issued by SSM within the scope of Armed UAS Project in order to:
-- gather general information on potential suppliers of the Armed UAS in the market,
-- have an idea of availability of the required Armed UAS,
-- investigate and clarify the system and sub-system based technical details and requirements,
-- define logistics support requirements for the system as a part of the Request For Proposal (RFP) preparation effort.

Conditions and Required Documents for Receipt of RFI:
The RFI can be received until 11th May 2015, 16:00 hours local time by the foreign or domestic companies’ authorized personnel or any representative personnel who is duly authorized by the company for receiving the RFI.

Representation document that includes representation extent and the authorized personnel’s identity information shall be submitted to SSM by the authorized personnel to receive the RFI.

Delivery Date for RFI:
The responses to the RFI should be delivered to SSM’s address below on or before 25th May 2015, 16:00 hours local time.

Information and questions given in the RFI and the related responses are not obligatory to SSM and does not mean any legal commitment for SSM to contract for the goods and services contemplated by the RFI.

Under any condition whatsoever, SSM shall not be responsible or liable for the payment of the costs, expenses and/or loses, which may occur within or in relation with the process of preparation, submission and demonstration (if any) of the information requested in the RFI.

Companies which will receive the RFI are deemed to have accepted all the rules and conditions stated in this announcement and the RFI.
